I expected better prices. It might be ok for customers who by in large quantities. I found coffee more expensive than Safeway. People tend to think Safeway is a bit pricy but I usually find good deals. I liked the prices here in bread also this is the only chain that carries my favourite pita bread. Sun baked pita and the best price of this product is here. $1.99 for the bag of 6. I can’t tell you if prices in large quantities is good or not as I didn’t look into it. Service was excellent I ask for help and she was very helpful. I was going to do a line up to pay and a staff member said the cashier at the end will be happy to help you. I liked that. Cashier asked if there was anything I needed. Staff was very good. Thank you for your good service.

I had the embarrassment of a life time buying from this store as a black person. I went there on Tuesday August 8, 2023 to purchase a box of plantains (others call it big bananas). I wanted ripened ones so I reached for box 4 from the top. I bought that together with other items. Got to the till, in a split second, the cashier (a relatively elderly Caucasian) signaled a supervisor (a middle aged Caucasian). I never heard what they were saying undertone. The next thing I knew, the supervisor angrily opened the box of plantains, got a basket and picked out about 12 pieces. All this while no one said anything to me. So I asked what was going on, then a 3rd employee told me apparently the box is too full. I insisted they weigh the box again after the charade, only for them to realize it was 40lbs instead of 50lbs and shamefully put back the 12 pieces they picked out back to make it 50lbs. To think that I bought about $200 of items only to be wrongfully accused of stealing $10 worth of plantains, I'll not over this easily. I, my family and community are done with this store, this injustice must stop!

Have some great employees that have been there for a long time which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. However recently there have been some issues in check out with other employees. With the old employees and any other grocery store for that matter, you can mix and match for the same price. Buy 2 3, 5, etc and get for a lowered price. In this case, it read buy groups of 24 and get for $1.42 each. Who wants 24 of the same flavor?! I've always bought 8 or 12 of several flavors to equal 24 and gotten at the group price. Apparently not here anymore.
